Waltz through the apocolypse

and the world did end
but we still dressed up that night
the people did war
but we waltz in our favorite hall
afterwards the bombs did confess a sweet still light
admitdly we were in awe
at the serenity of it all
how could it be
walking so lightly
admist the war the world did fight

so yes we did
dance and move alongside fright
civil we remained
despite
despite

though you might not believe
and though we will insist few might
the world did not end that day
the apocolypse did not come
earth had no real disaster in sight

and why
why you ask
do bomb shelters and rubble erase our midnight?
no we respond
the end isnt nigh
because we danced
we danced on with and through moonlight
caressing the union
in our hearts
despite
