family tree

today I said goodbye to thee

a leaf gone for now off the family tree

so long farewell
no more
c'est la vie

another leaf gone for now
off the family tree

brief was the fall
and close was the breeze
on one swift morning
awakening me

another leaf gone but one day
there will be a new tree

so long
fare well
carved in love on the trunk
in due time
we will all see

Authors Note:
R.I.P uncle Ronnie I'll see you one day soon...

Times up memorial ride 2008

for grace I live

how blessed are are you
to not sense what i sense
not feel as I feel
that this darkness for you is not real

how blessed you be
to stand where you stand
for God to uphold you
with perseverance's stance

how legendary it is
to have the eyes of a hawk
giving no unsound thing a fair trial
and with humility squawk

for this I'm often undone
so for heroes I sing
and one day I wait for a lone chariot
that one day low
very low it might swing

Cold Wind Heartless Rain

Jesus

how beautiful my lord i said to thee
that sacrifice all done at calvary
when all my self was long last made free
my chains fell off
my heart forever free
heaven it seems
in a bloody palm embracing me

kingdom near
Jesus
taking up residence
in me

smiling

I'm smiling at you
I'm smiling at you
3 hours and the day be gone
yet I'm still smiling at you

High Street, So High.

Intent before content

the truth for you
my hope for you

the truth for you
is my hope for you

no more servitude to a waterloo
giving yourself to what's untrue

my better years I would give to you
to give pause to the growth in you
the monstrous child you cling to

it's taking you
it's taking you
draining the better mind
using your eye with seeing and not through

look my friend
outside of you
fear not fear not the dirt
truth will indeed bury you

cast side the lies
let freedom ring true

outside my dove
out not in will carry you through

Author's Note:
what is truth?
