virga

dedicated and nearly free

virga

so close then it overwhelmed me

virga

endebted who will set me free

virga

this body this mind imprisons me

imprisoned virga virga

when all in this world has found me out
with sin and death all about
what righteous thing will liberate thee

the cross
the cross
where libertad will run with we

Author's note: virga is rain or snow that evaporates before it hits the ground

night

once again night decided
to take the breath of an other's day
the very air within
to trick and have the victim
choke his purity
put on the throttle
leaving no play

young man the night said
today I take your light
all hope and bright lights fizzy
this hour is your night
no hope or chance of escape into day
this hour is void of redemption
the event where care itself turns a cheek away

the young man ready to give in dared not
look for day
fear all around him
doubt he clung to
darkness grabbed him
he knew dismay

when all of a sudden light arrived him
giving a beam from far away
traveling to his situation
cleaning out the hour
inserting meaning in what the man called dismay
darkness it seemed had its meaning shattered
when light
showed up
and simply called what was
new day

Author's Note:
There is not just hope for you. There is hope for me. There is hope for him. There is Hope for we. It doesn't matter what you are going through. You are not alone. There is day. Night can't last. God will never leave you. He will because HE IS. Everything else that haunts you simply isn't next to him.

Deuternomy 31:6 "...he will never leave you nor forsake you."

bio

In the area of queens
the place I choose now to be
a long road started

I shoot
therefore I be

to find a photo's pulsing quandary
the bight of the action and all I see

to express a still epiphany
the lens a blurred image
these hands did make it see

to express something deep within me
for words that can never come to be
this is my camera's thesis

it's indelible mark
my legacy

for to me photography is my lion captor
forever giving until it takes the breath of me
for in it I give my every waking living
for in it you'll find me

to express a greater thing within our pondering
and meaning in a lifeless thing
for this indeed is the mark of artistry
a distilled image for a single moment reflecting everything
that thing in that moment
is mastery

author's note: poem about me and photography

Lord,Savior

it starts with this buzzing
life changing
a moments conversion leaves one senseless
then all at once the contradictions
become obstacles
freedom an introduced term
leaves your life in the fiction pile
all this for a buzzing motion
like brakes gone bad
a constant forward motion
like something gone right
a breaking locomotion

and in what should be a frightening panic
you find salvation

meaning of likeness

the man determined
on a voyage he began
to search the world
and discern if art had meaning
and whats more the earth encasing the love he hate

first he did spot a painter
lowly short and stout
the painter doth say
my greatest masterpiece to date
for the person Ive painted
hath no chest nor ears nor face
only eyes to see but not one countenance did I create

failure to perceive
is this nave's fate

curious
the man twisted his head
tried
but his mind he could not taint
a man with no chest
no ears nor face
this is a wicked tragedy
no man should celebrate this fate

so on the man went
scurrying till the day was late
near
far
but more he saw
all given to a similar distaste
a world given to pity
no eyes chest or face
disfigured
frustrated
like a man with no image
all great things erased

justice made right

as he layed still that night
in the woods at the stars he stared
he prayed breathing in wind
eyes glued to the twilight
give me a fortified hammer he prayed
for my stature isn't large enough
to break down those gigantic walls past the bight

Gargantuan are its proportions
and many are the horrors which keep me awake this night
give me a forty foot hammer Lord
that I might strike down that which went against my family's right

give me two hundred horses and chariots made of silver
a fearsome battle ax and gold plated pike
because my stature is too small
to pierce the heart of those who left me
the blow I deliver would give a laugh of smite

the Lord answered
be still my child
don't let your heart query ponder
for I'll be that mighty
the one who wanders
searching the hearts of your enemies
quieting their vengeful action
lacking somber
inciting fright

I'll ride your two hundred horses
carrying three battle axes in which to silence the ones who left you as mini
given you alone
no direction left that's right

but realize
your stature is plenty
just take into thought
left with me your taken life is large and heavy
winning warfare
is giving to me
making your entry see heights

freedom is I Am

for now I know what freedom is
so on my saviors lap I lay
forgetting the bolts
that let me down
his whispers make me stay

there is safety here
on his mountaintop
beauty seen
the array
in this place has mastered me
making old hurts
go away

Holy is the Lord

Residence

then the Lord said to me
abide in me
let me reside in you
be my tabernacle
let me rest in thee
and lay upon my holy mountain
abide in me
abide in me
let my Joy be your holy mountain

some think
before and some not knowing what you are
to them a solid poem
or a lovers kiss right when the sun
bids farewell
then sinks into dawn

a breath of fresh air
atop the tallest mountain top
a sense of autonomy
with more riches then one can stock
all folly and pale next to you
for Ive seen your beauty

not a reflection or pale shadows
you
just you
for a man cannot compare
buy or parade your lovely
barter for a piece of your wisdom
or even pretend to have seen your lot

no wealth compared to your many mansions
and no war with spoils can be fought
your treasure is your beauty and your beauty alone
no weather on record could rot

no eye has seen
ear heard
finger touched
heart felt
lips spoke
mind percieved
sypmphony written
life fathomed
intelect pondered
love touched
what you've stored
for those who've ultimately you adored
a meal for the beloved
a feast with no stop

faithful poetry reader

this is poem for we to hear
our atmosphere
some lines for the readers ear
you see this is our world
story is sent to the reciever
together we live in commune
disregarding a critics faithful eye
putting a knife to all he deems unneccesary

you see this is our world of dancing fairies
underground slam sessions
our sancuaries
you see down here
we dictate the corporate milk lactate
and all our love does a body good
no one loses in our fair ground

because expression is the currency of the underground
by mere form we indoctrinate a new level of pretty
sounds
stringing together some unity
you see success is not determined by the winner
and slave doesnt mean the owner faster

bigger doesnt determine a master
and poetry by itself
is where faithful hearts find pasture

Run Run

so he opened my ears
a sound fermented
plenty
out grew a noise
new to mine drums
heavy

shall I proclaim
this news
to the world
to all
to many

no
he said
readied

but should I run my lord
without rest
to every land?
stop i shall not
even if I grow wilting
weak
weary

no he said
a face firm
integrity

with a calm I've come to know
he said this race is won
run
steady

for the victors will hear me
my words whispered
left alone
they are plenty
