praying one day
the spirit of the Lord said to me

different from most you are not
because your heart is full of idolotery
pride be your sin of choice
thinking the best
of your motives
thoughts
moving backwards in what you seek

the truth of the matter is
you could be the robber
con man
murderer
or lying priest

it could be you that performs that date rape
or passes a bar exam because you decided to cheat

put you in the wrongly right situation
desperate and despondent
you would be in the farmers store stealing pig feet

to pure in heart to be the next mussolini?
then examine the hate i saw in you
just last week

and if a lifetime you avoid these giant monsteries
having no fangs or werewolf feet

an eternity of your centrality could be a misery
for kissing at a mirror
