heavenless

so it was in the distance
like a pied pipers lullaby
he heard the melody
a soft smelling serpentine
sweet
low
but invading every part of him
with every step it grew
marching alongside it commanded him
a feeling he'd dreamt to know
all at once perplexing yet completing him

his feet began leaving the ground
inch by inch he no longer knew his home
forsaken to him
above him
less sky
below him
everything once certain to him
no longer with him
closer to the serene
the swan song grew
metaphors and cool rain in summer
loving sunrise coupled with new romance
searching
but nothing could compare to this

a feeling so indescribably matchless
